Shandhika’s Journey: From Fiji to Australia
Hi, I’m Shandhika, a Management Accountant turned Flight Attendant, raised in Sydney but born in Fiji.
My lifelong passion for aviation and travel began on a childhood flight with Fiji Airways (then Air Pacific). After building a career across Australia and Canada, my dreams truly took flight in 2016 as a flight attendant, proving it’s never too late to pursue your calling.
I’ve now visited 28 countries and counting.
My mission: to share travel tips for Australians (and global explorers)—with honest insight, flight secrets, and practical advice for adventures big and small.

Charles’s Story: From Calgary Finance to Travel Videography
Charles is my husband and travel partner—a CFA charter holder whose financial career spanned top firms in Canada and Australia.
But it was travel that awakened his creative side.
Leaving behind the corporate grind, he picked up a camera, joined me on my journeys, and became the visual storyteller behind our YouTube channel.
He’s explored 18+ countries, blending budget wisdom with cinematic flair.

Our Love Story
Our shared wanderlust led to the ultimate plot twist: meeting on Halloween night in Canada.
I arrived on a working holiday visa; Charles was dressed as an Indian cowboy, I as an Indian princess. In a crowded club, fate (and costumes) worked their magic.
Our connection was instant, and soon, new adventures beckoned.
After marrying in Calgary, our next big decision? Whichever country approved our visas first would be home.
Australia won, and we’ve been exploring together ever since!
Our Family: Maple, the Labrador
No journey is complete without our beautiful black lab, Maple—adopted at 7 weeks, now the “mascot” of our Aussie adventures.
He keeps us laughing (and walking!) and is often found exploring beaches and trails by our side.
